NRIVA Awards Guidelines and Nomination Processs

Submission Rules & Regulations for NRIVA 8th Global Convention Excellence Awards 


Official Nomination Policy:
  1. Membership Status: All nominees or their families must be registered members of NRIVA.
  2. Supporting Documentation: Nominees must have achieved notable accomplishments or contributions  for each award category.All submissions must include a professional bio (max 500 words) and verifiable proof of achievements (certificates, news links, or recommendation letters).
  3. Accuracy: Any misrepresentation of facts or plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
  4. Attendance: Award recipients are encouraged to attend the Global Convention to receive their honor in person. publications, newsletters, or social media platforms to showcase their achievements.
  5. Privacy: By submitting, nominees grant NRIVA the right to use their profile and photo for promotional and souvenir purposes.
  6. Deadline: All submissions must be received via the official portal by May 31st, 2026. Late entries may not be processed.
  7. Review Process: Final selections are made by the NRIVA  8th GC Awards Committee ; all decisions are final and binding. Each nomination will be carefully reviewed, scored, and compared against other nominees to ensure fairness and impartiality. The review process will be conducted with integrity, transparency, and confidentiality to maintain credibility and trust.
  8. Announcement and Recognition: Recipients of NRIVA awards will be announced and honored Live during a special ceremony during the NRIVA 8th Global Convention. Awardees will receive certificates of recognition and may be featured in NRIVA publications, newsletters, or social media platforms to showcase their achievements.

Below are the guidelines and descriptions for each category:

1. NRIVA STRONG Youth Award

Recognizes young leaders who demonstrate exceptional potential in academics, arts, leadership, or community service. It celebrates those who go beyond the classroom to make a tangible impact on their peers or local environment.
  • Age Criteria: Under 25 years.
  • Guidelines:
    • Focus on leadership roles in school/college, innovative projects, or significant volunteer hours.
    • Nomination forms should provide detailed information on the nominee's academic accomplishments, including GPA, awards, scholarships, publications, research projects, or other notable achievements.
    • Supporting documentation such as transcripts, recommendation letters, or certificates may be included to strengthen the nomination.

2. NRIVA Community & Outreach Excellence Award

Honoring individuals or groups who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of the community through charitable work or social activism. This award highlights the spirit of "Giving Back" (Vasavi Seva).
  • Age Criteria: No specific age limit; open to all.
  • Guidelines:
    • Evidence of sustained community service, impactful outreach programs, or mobilization of resources for social causes.
    • Nomination forms should provide detailed information on the nominee's community service activities, including descriptions of projects, volunteer roles, leadership positions, and the impact of their contributions.
    • Supporting documentation such as testimonials, letters of recommendation, photos, or videos may be included to support the nomination.

3. NRIVA Women's Excellence Awards

Celebrates the achievements of women who have broken barriers and excelled in their chosen fields while balancing cultural and family values. It aims to inspire the next generation of women leaders within the community.
  • Age Criteria: Open to women of all ages.
  • Guidelines:
    • Demonstrated leadership, resilience, and significant contribution to their profession or social empowerment.
    • Nomination forms should provide detailed information on the nominee's accomplishments, leadership qualities, and the significance of their contributions.
    • Supporting materials such as resumes, portfolios, or letters of recommendation may be included to bolster the nomination.

4. NRIVA Special Recognition (Military, NASA, Doctors Without Borders)

A prestigious honor for members serving in high-impact global or national roles that require immense bravery and technical expertise. It recognizes those representing the community in elite sectors of service and science.
  • Age Criteria: Open to active professionals and veterans.
  • Guidelines:
    • Proof of service in the Military, NASA, or international humanitarian missions like Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières)
    • Demonstrated dedication to mission-critical roles
    • Sustained service in high-responsibility or high-risk environments

5. NRIVA Entrepreneur Award

Recognizes visionary business owners who have built successful enterprises, created jobs, and demonstrated innovation. It highlights the entrepreneurial spirit inherent in the Vasavi heritage.
  • Age Criteria: 18+ years.
  • Guidelines:
    • Growth of the business, innovation in the industry, and contribution to the economy or community through the enterprise.
    • Nomination forms should provide detailed information on the nominee's entrepreneurial achievements, including descriptions of their ventures, business model, impact, and growth metrics.
    • Supporting documentation such as business plans, financial statements, testimonials, media coverage, or awards may be included to strengthen the nomination.

6. NRIVA Professional & Excellence Award

Awarded to professionals (Engineers, Lawyers, Corporate Leaders, etc.) who have reached the pinnacle of their careers. This is for those recognized by their peers for expertise and ethical leadership.
  • Age Criteria: Professional working age (typically 25–60).
  • Guidelines:
    • Professional certifications, major career milestones, industry awards, or executive-level leadership.
    • Nomination forms should include detailed information on the nominee's achievements, contributions, and their impact on their profession or community.
    • Supporting documentation such as resumes, portfolios, or letters of recommendation may be included to strengthen the nomination.

7. NRIVA Lifetime Achievement Award

The NRIVA Lifetime Achievement Award represents the highest honor, recognizing individuals whose lifelong dedication, leadership, and service have created a lasting legacy for the Vasavi community and beyond.
  • Age Criteria: No specific age limit ( Typically 45+)
  • Guidelines:
    • Decades of consistent excellence, mentorship of others, and a lasting impact on the society at large.
    • Recipient of major awards, honors, or public recognition over the years.
    • Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity throughout their life
